SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST

Location: Atlanta, GA (Preferred: Hybrid - 2 days in-office, 3 days remote)

We’re looking for a passionate Social Media Specialist to elevate our social media presence and engage the Rugged community.

Position Overview: The Social Media Specialist will play a crucial role in shaping our brand’s voice and driving engagement across our social platforms. You will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies, creating compelling content, and building relationships with our audience. This role requires creativity, a deep understanding of social media trends, and a passion for the outdoor lifestyle. Due to the ever-changing nature of a rapidly growing start-up, it is critical that you are a self-starter with the ability to transform high-level ideas and concepts into actionable social media strategies and content with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Strategy:
    Develop and implement effective social media strategies aligned with our marketing goals.
  • Content Creation:
    Create and curate high-quality, engaging content including posts, stories, videos, and images in and out of the office environment for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Community Engagement:
    Interact with our community both digitally as well as at in-person events. Digitally by responding to comments, messages, and mentions to build relationships and foster a loyal fan base, in-person by attending events like trade shows and activations to demonstrate the product in use in a natural environment.
  • Analytics & Reporting:
    - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of account interactions and sales activities using CRM and Inventory Management software
    - Provide management with a weekly report of performance, key findings, and recommendations for areas of improvement
  • Collaborations: Work alongside our affiliate manager to recruit affiliates and ambassadors for the brand, as well as seek out new brand partnership and PR opportunities.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute social media campaigns for product launches, promotions, and events.
  • Brand Voice: Maintain a consistent and authentic brand voice across all social media channels.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in social media management, preferably in a similar industry (D2C, outdoors, e-commerce, CPG, etc.).
  • Location: Preferred: Based in or near Atlanta, GA, with the ability to work in-office 2 days a week.
  • Outdoor Enthusiast: Passionate about and actively participates in outdoor activities, aligning with our brand's lifestyle.
  • Skills
    - Strong copywriting and grammar skills.
    - Proficient in photography and videography, with the ability to create high-quality content (preferred but not required).
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    - Familiarity with social media management tools and analytics platforms.
